You can use Quick Gestures to control many Nest Hub (2nd gen) features. Quick Gestures uses Motion Sense to detect when your hand moves - without a camera. Play or pause a song or video, snooze an alarm and stop a timer.

Sleep Sensing - an Effortless Way to Track Your Sleep
With Nest Hub (2nd gen) on your bedside table, Sleep Sensing⁶ can track when you go to bed, when you wake up and how long you’ve slept.⁷ Sleep Sensing uses Motion Sense to detect movement and breathing – without a camera. Over time, it learns your sleep patterns and gives you personalized insights and recommendations to help you get a good night’s sleep.⁸

At any time, you can turn off the mic with the mic switch and easily clear your Google Assistant history whenever you want.

1) Plug in your Hub.
2) On your phone or tablet, open the Google Home app.
3) Tap the Add icon > Set up device plus > New device > follow the in-app steps.
4) You’ll be able to opt-out of some settings, like Voice Match or personal results. You can change these settings at any time after you complete the setup.
